Easter Waste

Since this past weekend was Easter, I'm sure many of you had family dinners with an assortment of food dishes.

This is the question I have for you:

Would you say you waste more food when you are with your families, or when you are at school in the cafeterias?

Multiply this typical everyday waste by the approxiamate 210 days of the year the cafeteria is open.  Also keep in mind that Yakeley is one of the smallest cafeterias on campus.  This is just dessert...

I am sure you are all aware that food prices are increasing all across the country. This causes the price of student meal plans to increase. But what if for a change, the cost of the meal plans went down? If everyone became aware of the food issue at hand and made an effort to waste less, this would decrease the cost of food
